Some days the work looks like navigating a 31-metre building through a roundabout at midnight. Other days it looks like suiting up, heading to the races, and raising money for a cause that matters.
This year, Team MC and their partners headed to the Pink Finss Charity Race Day — an event supporting Pink Finss Patient Transport, a service that does something quietly remarkable: getting people to cancer treatment when they can’t get there themselves.
McDonald Contracting has been proud to sponsor and support Pink Finss for some time now. You might have spotted the PINK jacks on recent jobs – that’s not accidental. It’s a small way of keeping the cause front of mind, even on the worksite.
But Race Day is something else. Good food, good company, plenty of horses, and – apparently – at least one team member who decided the lawn called for a backflip. We won’t name names. The footage exists.
Matilda, the Pink Finss patient transport van, has now clocked well over 480 trips. That’s 480+ times someone got to their appointment, their treatment, their check-up – because a vehicle showed up. McDonald Contracting is honoured to play a small part in keeping those wheels turning, alongside the incredible team at Pink Finss and fellow sponsors Country Lane Conveyancing.
To everyone who came along, donated, and supported on the day – thank you. And to the Pink Finss team, thank you for a great day and for the work you do every single day.
Heavy lifting, with a touch of pink. Always.
