Every successful job starts before the trucks roll out. It starts with the people who plan it, coordinate it, and push it forward — the crew that makes it all happen. Here’s a look at the team behind McDonald Contracting.
If you’ve ever watched a job that looked impossible get done without a fuss, there’s a good chance Shane was behind it.
Shane runs one speed: forward. Fast brain, big plans, always building. He’s the kind of operator who has three solutions ready before most people have even identified the problem — and he’s been that way since long before McDonald Contracting became the business it is today.
Inside the team, he’s known for rewriting the schedule before 7am, turning a “quick one” into a full operation, and a signature phrase that sums up his entire approach to a challenge: “we’ll just knock that out.”
The team gives him grief for the “while we’re at it” additions. But they also back it – because they know that energy is exactly what drives the business forward.
Shane is the ideas man. The one who sets the standard. The one carrying the weight of every decision – the direction, the growth, the push to be better on every single job. That starts with him.
Behind every smooth job is a coordinator (or two) making it look easy – even when it absolutely isn’t.
The McDonald Contracting office runs on coordination, fast thinking, and the kind of calm-under-pressure that only comes from doing the work of four people. Phones ringing, crews to juggle, paperwork stacked higher than council delays, and Hurricane Shane to manage – all at the same time.
They keep the wheels turning, the phones answered, and the chaos organised. Nothing falls through the cracks, because they don’t let it.
Brains fast. Work hard. Chaos managed.
McDonald Contracting has been moving what others won’t touch since 1969. The jobs have changed. The equipment has grown. But the thing that’s stayed constant is the crew – people who show up, think hard, and get it done properly.
