McDonald Contracting’s 23-year relationship with Tidd Ross Todd (TRT) is a testament to the power of family values, trust, and innovation. Founded in 1969, McDonald Contracting specialises in relocating reclaimed and recycled buildings, as well as unique and oversized items like planes, trains, and large trees. Over the years, they have relied on TRT’s custom-built trailers and equipment to tackle these complex projects.

The partnership began with a pivotal visit to TRT’s headquarters in New Zealand, where a young Shane McDonald and his father Robert were introduced to TRT’s innovative trailer designs. This led to McDonald Contracting’s first TRT trailer purchase—an investment that would set the stage for a long-standing relationship.

Today, McDonald Contracting’s fleet includes 16 specialised TRT trailers, each tailored to meet their unique needs. TRT’s flexibility and commitment to innovation have been instrumental in supporting McDonald Contracting’s growth, enabling them to deliver exceptional service for even the most challenging relocations.
